Greg Guzman
PRESIDENT/MANAGING PARTNER
Greg Guzman is Co-Founder and has served as President of Aerostar since inception in 2011.
Mr. Guzman oversees the strategic direction of the Mobile, Alabama based aircraft component MRO and asset sales company. He brings 25+ years of 145 MRO experience in various leadership roles – first as Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Airinc, followed by Director of Regional Sales at Fokker Services.
Mr. Guzman holds Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business from the University of South Alabama.
Wayne Fink
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Wayne Fink is an Executive Vice President at AeroStar serving on the Board of Directors as a founding shareholder. He was a co-founder of Star Aviation, an aircraft engineering and manufacturing company focusing on retrofit for inflight entertainment & connectivity on large commercial aircraft. Founded in 1999, Star Aviation was acquired by Carlisle Interconnect Technologies in 2016. His earlier career was specialized in aircraft structures engineering, working for several modification centers including DynAir, Timco and Mobile Aerospace Engineering. Mr. Fink received his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1985. He held an Airframe & Powerplant license and was also a FAA Structures DER for 10 years.
Gordon Smart
Gordon Smart is a co-founder of Aerostar, Inc. and holds a corporate officer role on the Board of Directors. He currently serves as the President and CEO of Connected Aero, Inc. – an aerospace manufacturing company located in Mobile, Al and sister company to Aerostar, Inc.
Mr. Smart has 25+ years in the aerospace industry, holding executive level roles at global leading engineering and manufacturing firms. He most recently served as the Director of Sales for Carlisle IT where he led a global sales team in satcom connectivity. Prior to Carlisle, Mr. Smart spent nearly two decades at Star Aviation, holding various roles throughout his tenure, finishing as the VP of Sales prior to Star’s acquisition by Carlisle IT.
Bill “Maverick” Culberson
Bill Culberson is a Founding Member and Board Member of AeroStar since it was created in 2011.
Mr. Culberson assists in the overall strategic planning for Aerostar. His 26 years of Aerospace Engineering experience combined with his knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration background provides a solid foundation for business decision-making.
Mr. Culberson holds a Batchelor of Electrical Engineering Technology from The University of Alabama. He was a FAA Systems and Equipment (Electrical) DER for 17 years.
